Eleven-year-old Jacob from Pawtucket was feeling footloose and fancy free for a week this summer when he embarked on his wish, to sail The Windjammer "Angelique" off the coast of Maine. Jacob took two limo rides and a train straight to the dock in the quintessential coastal village of Camden. Jacob and his family cruised Maine's coastal waters under full sail for six days. And according to Jacob's mom, he had a mighty good time aboard the Angelique and smooth sailing.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Not many fourteen-year-olds get the chance to experience an amazing Royal Caribbean cruise vacation - one filled with beautiful scenery, intriguing people and of course, exciting adventures. Wishkid Nick from Cranston, RI got his chance, and boy, was it magical! Nick, along with his parents and his three older sisters traveled in style, as a limo picked them up at their house and brought them directly to TF Green airport so they could embark on their vacation destination to Orlando, where the Mariner of the Seas Cruise Ship was docked and where they were greeted by a Royal Caribbean representative. Once aboard the vessel, they cruised the Atlantic from Florida to Haiti, traveling to such exotic islands as Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island, and Cozumel, Mexico where Nick got the chance to swim with dolphins. Enjoying sunny skies, delicious food and the many activities aboard the ship and on the islands, they cruised back to Florida where a limo met them for their trip back home. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Destination Joy presented by LAY'S® is the Make-A-Wish Foundation's annual campaign to raise resources to make every wish happen. In 2007, the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted 13,000 wishes - one wish every 40 minutes.
